Professors' Guide to Getting Good Grades In College |

Winning the College Game is not just about getting into a great college. It is also about doing well while you are there. While grades are far from the only measure of how much you get out of college, learning to earn the best grades you can and to do so efficiently is an important aspect of getting the most value from your college investment.
So I wanted to pass on a resource for anyone who believes they could benefit from some expert coaching in how to earn good grades in college. Two professors, Lynn Jacobs and Jeremy Hyman put out a great common sense guide book called, Professors' Guide to Getting Good Grades in College. This book does an excellent job of helping students understand what skills and habits are essential for academic success in college, including an explanation of how college work differs from high school. If you are interested, but unlikely to read the whole book, professors Jacobs and Hyman now have a blog at the U.S. News education websits that is well worth a visit. |
