Online college fair may be the wave of the future |

On November 12th and 13th you can attend an online college fair at CollegeWeekLive.com. The event combines a schedule of webcasts of keynote speakers with a set of virtual information booths for the participating colleges. There is an odd mix of schools, including large state universities
like Arizona State U, smaller state colleges like the University of Norther Colorado, two year colleges like Bellevue Community College, selective private colleges like my alma mater Yale, at least a couple Jesuit colleges including Fairfield, and of course representatives from a variety of accredited online universities like the University of Pheonix. With just a few hundered colleges represented, there are better places to do your complete college search, but the speakers look good, and this would be an efficient way to contact several colleges on your reseach list to get more information. If you have already researched colleges at this fair and know you will apply, this could also be another opportunity to make a positive contact. Hope you enjoy the fair. |
